The plan for how we'll be engaging our audience!

Goals

Although we acknowledge Coca-Cola's current efforts to be more environmentally sustainable, our ultimate goal would be to push Coca-Cola to adopt better business practices in all areas which include waste management and human violence, on top of their environmental practices. The production practices of the Coca-Cola company have a strong impact on the environment. Not only will a change in their production practices help the environment, Coca-Cola's involvement in making conscious efforts to be more efficient and environmentally friendly in their production can spur other companies to do the same. With regards to human workplace rights, we want to put a stop to the violence and killing of union representatives.

Objectives

Our objective is to gather 250 signatures for the our "Better Business Practices" campaign. We also aim to garner 200 members to our Facebook group and to encourage discussion on the message boards.

Target Audience

We want to relay our message primarily to Coca-Cola consumers. Our viral marketing strategies will be focussed on coca-cola consumers from the ages of 17-28. We plan on attaining 500 online signatures for our petition through this medium. Our facebook group will help accomplish this objective, and further spread the message to consumers within the 29-44 age group. Our information kiosk will be targeted to university students at the University of Toronto Mississauga passing by at various locations in the school. University students account for a large portion of coca-cola’s market share. By being informed, the public is aware that they are complicit with Coca-Cola's activities.

Message

Our message is simple: Inform Coca-cola consumers and the general public of Coca-cola's morally unacceptable and socially ignorant business practices such that they will become a more aware, and conscious beverage consumer.

Strategies

We plan to have an information kiosk where we would present the general public with information about Coca-Cola's harmful business practices.

Tactics

We want to relay our message directly to the public by being approachable and open for discussion. Our kiosk will be in an open location where passerby's are encouraged to take a brief stop to listen to our message. We will be distributing water bottles with custom labels that summarize Coca-Cola's harmful business practices. The water bottle will not only present the individual with useful information, but the water itself is a healthier beverage. In addition to this we will be handing out flyers and infographs that briefly describe the issue along with contact information to our website. Flyers and posters will also be circulated around campus in places such as bus shelters, outside classrooms and in meeting places so we can reach the most people possible. .
